A Council energy initiative, Murrindindi Shire has joined with other local shires as the Goulburn Broken Greenhouse Alliance to implement an Energy efficient street lighting program.   Lighting will be upgraded to energy efficient globes. Overall this will lead to a reduction in energy use by 3,644,863kwh per year.
